I'm so excited and honored to have an opportunity to speak to The C.A.L.L. county coordinators this coming Saturday at The C.A.L.L. Statewide Summit. I'll be presenting two different workshops (described below) three times each.

Joomla, WYSIWYG, and Other Funny Words to Take Seriously

An introduction to the Joomla! CMS (Content Management System) and Google Apps where you’ll learn how to:

  • Update your County’s content on the C.A.L.L. website
  • Create new pages and menu items
  • Format your content for search engine optimization (i.e. Google rankings)
  • Integrate videos from YouTube in easy steps
  • Utilize Google Calendar for internal and external planning and promotions
Fostering and Adopting Social Media for Your Cause

Understand how ever-growing social media networks can help you:

  • Create meaningful conversations online about fostering and adoption
  • Expand the reach of the great stories you have to tell
  • Grow your networks of those looking to get involved

I’ll discuss Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blogging, and other useful web tools that can help spread the word about children in Arkansas foster care.

Can't wait to report back on how they go!
